Cancer Group 39th Annual Symposium for the Breast Cancer Specialist
2012
The agenda for this symposium reflects the
multidisciplinary nature of our membership. The presentations will focus on
individualizing breast cancer risk assessment. With the recent progress in our
understanding of the biology and therapeutics we are better able to personalize
multidisciplinary treatment delivery with the goal of improving breast cancer
outcomes. We are honored to have
nationally renowned speakers addressing some of the most controversial aspects
in the management of breast cancer.
The morning session will cover a range of topics including an update on Level I
evidence on invasive cancer, improved pathologic evaluation of disease, review
of clinical trials data that furthers our understanding of the biology of ductal
carcinoma in situ. The afternoon session includes an outstanding
multidisciplinary faculty that will address various aspects of neoadjuvant
chemotherapy.
